International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification on December 14, 2022. Plantation Department implemented ISO 9001:2015 on June 1, 2022 to meet company’s desire to improve product quality and customer service consistently.

ISO 9001:2015 is a quality management standard designed to assist companies in ensuring the quality of their products and services. Thus, a company that has received ISO 9001:2015 certification means that it has fulfilled various quality management system requirements established internationally.

The management representative of the ISO 9001: 2015 process, Wiwin Ika Indriyati, explained that there were several goals for implementing ISO 9001: 2015 in the Plantation Department. First, it was to manage administration and document systems and to manage and mitigate risks that might arise in the implementation of ISO 9001:2015. Second, it ensured that each process and stage would be carried out according to established procedures and standards. Third, it exercised control so that Plantation Department would be more focused and consistently achieve the company’s quality objectives that had been set.

She also said that through the implementation of ISO 9001: 2015, the Plantation Department hoped to provide product quality assurance, which was sugarcanes that met the standards in accordance with the provisions, and also produce sugarcanes that were clean, fresh and sweet.
