PT Gunung Madu Plantations (PT GMP) held journalism training at the Public Center 23-24 July 2024 with resource persons from the Tempo Institute Jakarta. This training aims to provide provisions for writing and interviews with various sources about the history of PT GMP’s 50 year journey. This training was opened by the Head of the Human Resources Department, Mr. Samsuri, and was attended by 27 participants from various departments.
Head of Human Resources, Mr. Samsuri, said that this year GMP has started preparing to welcome its 50th anniversary in 2025. This training is a journalistic preparation to document various stories of PT GMP’s journey from 1975 to the present.
One of the participants, Nina Septina, was proud to be part of the journalistic team for 50 years of GMP tasked with presenting the history of Mount Madu, which has been around for half a century. He hopes to give the best for GMP, “On the other hand, there is a little nervousness because this is a special moment and something new for me,” he explained.
