In the spirit of sharing during the holy month of Ramadan, PT Gunung Madu Plantations once again demonstrated its commitment to the surrounding community through its social initiative, Gunung Madu Peduli, by providing assistance to 110 orphans from five villages near its operational area.The charity event was held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the company’s Multipurpose Hall (GSG) and was attended by the Director of PT Gunung Madu Plantations, Chong Seng Wai, along with the company’s department heads.
The beneficiaries came from the villages of Gunung Batin Baru, Gunung Batin Ilir, Gunung Batin Baru Ilir, Terbanggi Ilir, and Terbanggi Mulya—communities located around the company’s operational area.In his remarks, Head of Services Department of PT Gunung Madu Plantations, Iwan Kurniawan, stated that the initiative reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local community.
“Through the Gunung Madu Peduli program, the company strives to continuously share and extend care to the surrounding community, especially to orphans. We hope this assistance can bring happiness and encouragement to them, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan,” he said.He further emphasized that the company’s social programs are not merely ceremonial, but part of a long-term commitment to fostering harmonious relationships between the company and the community.Through this initiative, PT Gunung Madu Plantations aims to uphold the values of togetherness, compassion, and mutual cooperation, ensuring that the company’s presence continues to create a positive social impact in its surrounding environment.
