Access to quality healthcare is an important factor in supporting students’ academic achievement. To this end, PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP), through its GM Peduli program, initiated an eye examination and eyeglass distribution program for 46 students of SMKN 1 Terusan Nunyai who required vision correction. The event was held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the school’s assembly ground.
This activity was a follow-up to the eye health screening conducted on May 12, 2026. Based on the examination results, 46 students were identified as needing eyeglasses to support their daily learning activities.The handover ceremony was attended by the Principal of SMKN 1 Terusan Nunyai, Wahyu Tribudianti, M.Pd., along with members of the teaching staff and representatives from the GM Peduli team. In her remarks, the Principal expressed appreciation for PT Gunung Madu Plantations’ concern for the health and well-being of the students.
“We would like to thank PT Gunung Madu Plantations for its attention and support for our students through this eye examination and eyeglass assistance program. We hope this support will improve students’ learning comfort and contribute to better academic performance at school,” she said. Representatives of GM Peduli stated that good eye health is an essential factor in the learning process. Through this program, the company hopes that students will be able to participate more effectively in classroom activities without being hindered by vision problems.
