Saturday, 09 November 2024 at the Public Center Housing II of PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP), the Director of GMP and management of the Gunung Madu Foundation (YGM), Mr. Teh Choo Pong and Mr. Chong Seng Wai, accompanied by the YGM Management, symbolically handed over the Undergraduate Achievement Scholarship for Domestic Universities Year 2024.
This scholarship is given to children of GMP employees who meet the requirements and pass the selection. Since the scholarship program was first launched in 2019, the total number of Achiever Scholarships to date is 23 people, including the 2024 Scholarship recipients, namely Hany Suci Lestari (daughter of Mr. Suyatman – Plantation Department), Wanda Aulia Shabira (daughter of Mr. M Ridwan Sholeh – QSHE Division), and Raisya Thania Mawardi (daughter of Mr. Joni Mawardi – Services Department).
In his speech, the Finance Director and Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Teh Choo Pong, said that university education is one of the most important periods in life and is an opportunity to gain knowledge and build a meaningful network of friends for the future, therefore scholarship recipients must be more motivated to Study harder to achieve your goals.
Chairperson of the Gunung Madu Foundation, Mrs. Syah Ayu Dewi, stated that this scholarship is not only to reduce educational costs, but also as an appreciation for the dedication and potential of employees’ children. He hopes that the recipients can make the best use of this opportunity so that they can complete the entire study process according to the predetermined targets.
