As a demonstration of its commitment to the communities surrounding its operational areas, PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP) has provided home renovation assistance to local residents through its home renovation program. The program covers 16 houses in need of repairs, with comprehensive renovations aimed at making the homes more decent, safe, and comfortable to live in. The beneficiaries are from six villages: Mataram Ilir, Bumi Nabung Ilir, Mataram Udik, Terbanggi Ilir, Gunung Batin Udik, and Terbanggi Mulya. All 16 houses have now been successfully renovated.

The first phase of the assistance handover, covering six houses, was held on Friday, October 2, 2026, in Bumi Nabung Ilir and Mataram Ilir villages, Central Lampung. The event was attended by members of PT Gunung Madu Plantations’ Board of Directors, including Ms. Jadey Hurray and Mr. Chong Seng Wai. Their presence reflected the company’s concern for the social well-being of local communities and its commitment to maintaining harmonious relationships with residents in the surrounding areas. Through this home renovation program, PT GMP hopes that the assistance provided will help improve the quality and comfort of the beneficiaries’ homes. Adequate housing is one of the basic needs that plays an important role in supporting the quality of life and well-being of families.

This program also forms part of PT GMP’s commitment through Gunung Madu Peduli, which continuously implements various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in the areas of social welfare, economic development, education, healthcare, the environment, and humanitarian assistance. PT GMP believes that a company’s presence should not be solely focused on its operational activities but should also generate tangible benefits for the surrounding communities. Through sustainable social initiatives, the company hopes to continue growing alongside the community and contribute to creating a more prosperous environment for all.
