PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP) hosted the Gunung Madu Fun Run and Community Fun Walk at Merdeka Field, Mataram Udik Village, Bandar Mataram District, Central Lampung Regency, on Saturday, 27 June 2026. The event served not only as a sporting activity but also as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the company, the local government, and the surrounding community.
The event was attended by Acting Regent of Central Lampung, I Komang Koheri, GMP Services Manager Iwan Kurniawan, S.T., Bandar Mataram District Head Dedi Fadilla, S.E., Mataram Udik Village Head Rudiyanto, S.Sos., along with other invited guests.The program began with a 5K Fun Run, attracting approximately 300 participants from various backgrounds, followed by a 3K Community Fun Walk joined by around 800 participants from different areas across Central Lampung Regency. From early morning, Merdeka Field was filled with enthusiastic participants taking part in every activity, creating a lively atmosphere that reflected the spirit of togetherness.
In addition to the sporting activities, participants enjoyed a variety of entertainment and had the opportunity to win exciting prizes through a lucky draw. A total of 63 door prizes were provided, ranging from mountain bicycles to dozens of electronic appliances, including televisions, washing machines, and refrigerators.The lucky draw became one of the most anticipated highlights of the event. Cheers and applause from the crowd added to the festive atmosphere as the winners were announced. Those who took home prizes expressed their excitement and appreciation, while the remaining participants continued to enjoy the event with enthusiasm, making the occasion a memorable celebration of health, unity, and community spirit.
