In commemoration of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri, PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP) once again distributed qurban animals to communities across various regions of Lampung Province. The distribution was carried out on May 25–26, 2026, as part of the company’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with local communities and sharing the joy of this important religious celebration.
This year, PT Gunung Madu Plantations distributed a total of 58 cattle and 48 goats to communities in villages surrounding the company’s operational areas, as well as to Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and mosques throughout Lampung Province. The qurban distribution program is an annual initiative that reflects the company’s social responsibility and concern for the well-being of the community. Through this activity, the company hopes to provide meaningful benefits and help communities celebrate Eid al-Adha in a spirit of togetherness and gratitude.
Representing the management of PT Gunung Madu Plantations, Head of the Services Department, H. Iwan Kurniawan, S.T., stated in his Eid al-Adha prayer remarks that qurban is not only an act of worship but also a means of strengthening the values of solidarity, mutual cooperation, and social care.
“The spirit of Eid al-Adha teaches us the importance of sharing and caring for one another. Through the distribution of qurban animals, we hope to bring benefits to the community while further strengthening the harmonious relationship that has long existed between the company and communities around our operational areas as well as other regions throughout Lampung,” he said.
The recipient communities, mosque committees, and Islamic boarding schools warmly welcomed the program and expressed their appreciation to PT Gunung Madu Plantations for its continued support and contribution each year. Through various sustainable social programs, PT Gunung Madu Plantations remains committed to growing together with the community and making a positive contribution to social development throughout Lampung Province.
