As a form of concern and commitment to supporting public health improvement and accelerating the reduction of stunting rates, PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP) once again distributed a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for stunting prevention in the Bandar Mataram District area. The aid distribution activity was held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Jatidatar Community Health Center Hall.
The event was attended by the Director of PT Gunung Madu Plantations, Mr. Chong Seng Wai, Head of the Services Department Iwan Kurniawan, Bandar Mataram District Secretary Mr. Heri, and Head of Jatidatar Community Health Center M. Prihatiningsih, along with the beneficiaries and other invited guests. Through this program, 46 pregnant women suffering from Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) received nutritional support packages. The assistance will be distributed in three stages until October 2026 as an effort to ensure sustainable nutritional fulfillment throughout pregnancy.
The aid packages consisted of Multivitamin Gold, meat, eggs, milk for pregnant women, and vitamin-rich biscuits, which are expected to help improve nutritional intake for pregnant women. In his remarks, the Director of PT Gunung Madu Plantations, Chong Seng Wai, emphasized the importance of paying attention to the early stages of a child’s life. According to him, the First 1,000 Days of Life are a very crucial period for a child’s growth and development.
Through this program, PT Gunung Madu Plantations hopes to make a tangible contribution to reducing stunting rates in the areas surrounding the company. Previously, similar efforts carried out in Terusan Nunyai District showed positive results, with the stunting rate successfully decreasing from 9.6 percent to 7.6 percent.
