As a form of concern for communities affected by flooding in Sumatra, PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP) has distributed post-disaster humanitarian assistance carried out from 1 December 2025 to 31 December 2026. The aid was delivered to several flood-affected areas across the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
Through this assistance program, PT GMP provided various forms of aid tailored to the urgent needs of communities in disaster-affected locations. One of the contributions was one ton of sugar distributed in collaboration with the Lampung Regional Police (Polda Lampung), reflecting the synergy between the business sector and state institutions in humanitarian efforts. In addition, PT GMP also distributed basic food supplies and ready-to-eat necessities, including packed meals, sanitation kits, school supplies, and other essential items required by flood survivors.

The total value of humanitarian aid distributed through this program reached IDR 500,000,000. In implementing this initiative, GMP involved 50 volunteers who were directly engaged in the distribution of assistance to the affected communities. The management of PT Gunung Madu Plantations stated that this activity is part of the company’s commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility and demonstrating concern for social and humanitarian conditions, particularly for communities affected by natural disasters. “Through this assistance, we hope to help ease the burden of flood survivors in Sumatra and support the recovery of affected communities in the post-disaster period,” said a representative of PT GMP’s management. PT Gunung Madu Plantations also hopes that the assistance provided will deliver tangible benefits and help strengthen the spirit of togetherness and solidarity in facing disasters.
