PT Gunung Madu Plantations (PT GMP) once again carried out a social care initiative for surrounding communities through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by distributing basic food assistance in the form of sugar to residents in 14 villages around the company’s operational area. The distribution took place from 16 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.
The assistance provided consisted of 2 kilograms of sugar per household, with a total of 20,668 beneficiary households. Overall, the total amount of aid distributed reached 42 tons of Gunung Madu sugar.
This basic food distribution program is a routine agenda of PT GMP, implemented at the end of the milling season and the beginning of the new milling season, as a form of the company’s concern for the community as well as an effort to maintain harmonious relationships with the surrounding environment.
The management of PT Gunung Madu Plantations stated that this activity also serves as an expression of gratitude for the company’s achievements and positive performance throughout the year. By sharing happiness with the community, PT GMP hopes that the benefits of the company’s presence can be directly felt by residents in the 14 surrounding villages.
