As a form of concern and one of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in the field of education, PT Gunung Madu Plantations (PT GMP), through the Gunung Madu Foundation (YGM), has implemented a digital-based literacy and numeracy development program for Grade 1 and 2 students in 15 elementary schools (SD) around the company’s area: 6 schools in Bumi Nabung Ilir Village, 6 schools in Mataram Ilir Village, and 3 schools in Mataram Udik Village.

The program began with a training session and a symbolic handover of tablets held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the Bumi Nabung Subdistrict PGRI Hall. The event was attended by the Head of the Central Lampung Regency Education Office, Dr. Nur Rohman; Head of the Services Department, Mr. Iwan Kurniawan; Chairperson of YGM, Mrs. Nisa Aryani; YGM Supervisor, Mrs. Sri Haryani; Representative of The Head Foundation, Ms. Ong Yi Ning; Head of Bumi Nabung Subdistrict, Mr. Dahrif Anshory; and Head of Bumi Nabung Ilir Village, Mr. Raidi Imron.

This program is a collaboration between PT GMP, YGM, The Head Foundation, and Enuma School Indonesia, with support from the Central Lampung Regency Education Office. The main goal of the program is to improve access to and the quality of literacy and numeracy among the younger generation through the use of inclusive and accessible digital technology. As part of the program, PT GMP through YGM handed over a total of 318 tablets to 15 schools. These devices will be used as learning tools with the Enuma School application to enhance literacy and numeracy skills among elementary school students in the villages surrounding the company
