As part of its long-term commitment to supporting stunting prevention efforts, PT Gunung Madu Plantations (PT GMP) once again carried out its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the form of Supplementary Feeding (PMT) for 63 pregnant women with Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) conditions in Terusan Nunyai District, Central Lampung Regency. The event was held on July 9, 2025, at the Bandar Agung Community Health Center (Puskesmas) Hall and attended by PT GMP Services Manager, Bapak Kurniawan, S.T., as well as the Head of Bandar Agung Community Health Center, Bapak Yunus, S.Kep.

The PMT program is a regular initiative that has been implemented by PT GMP since 2022 as a form of contribution and concern to improve maternal nutrition and prevent stunting. This effort has proven to deliver positive impacts, as in 2023 the stunting rate in Terusan Nunyai District was successfully reduced from 9.5% to 7.6%. In 2024, the program also showed success in reducing cases of Low Birth Weight (LBW) babies <2.5 kg, with only one case recorded out of 44 pregnant women with KEK in Bandar Mataram District (Data Source: Evaluation Results of Jatidatar Bandar Mataram Community Health Center on PT GMP’s PMT Program).

“This program is a form of synergy between the business sector and the health sector in building a healthier and stronger generation. We hope this contribution can make a significant impact on the future of children around the company’s operational area,” said Pak Iwan Kurniawan, S.T. in his speech. He also mentioned that this activity is part of GMP’s 50th anniversary series of events and asked for the community’s prayers so that PT GMP can continue to provide benefits for society for the next 50 to 100 years.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Community Health Center, Bapak Yunus, S.Kep., expressed his appreciation for PT GMP’s continuous support in improving maternal and child health. “Such collaboration is very meaningful in reducing stunting rates and improving the quality of life of the community,” he said. He also emphasized that this stunting prevention program is in line with the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
