PT Gunung Madu Plantations (PT GMP) has once again demonstrated its commitment to the environment and public health by providing heavy equipment assistance in the form of a backhoe loader for the construction of a 10-kilometer-long drainage ditch in Mataram Udik Village, Bandar Mataram Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency. This activity was carried out from March 1 to March 8, 2025.
The drainage ditch serves as a water channel to direct rainwater and surface water, helping to prevent stagnant water that could become a breeding ground for mosquitoes carrying Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). In addition, this drainage system plays an important role in preserving the structure of village roads, preventing damage caused by waterlogging.
“Thank you, PT GMP, for your concern in supporting infrastructure development and public health in Mataram Udik Village. We hope this assistance will facilitate agricultural distribution and improve mobility for our community,” said Rudiyanto, Head of Mataram Udik Village. The village government and local residents warmly welcomed the assistance, as it aligns with their efforts to improve environmental quality and public facilities. With strong synergy between the company and the community, it is hoped that a healthier village environment and more durable road infrastructure can be achieved.
